Asana: Meridians
Brief alignment: Start from a seated side hero pose. Bring the right heel into the groin as you bend the left knee. Bend the right knee as you bring the heel to the gluteus. Lean on the right, and lower your shoulder, and torso across the shin as you wrap the left hand around the left sole. Reach behind to clasp the right top of the foot with the same hand. Twist the gaze up, and rest your chest on your thigh as you lift the back knee of the floor to form two parallel lines.
Benefits: Stretches the knee, hip, groin and shoulder; soothes the lower back.
Contraindications: Knee, hip, shoulder and lower back injury.
